WHAT: We are hosting a course to help all members of the emergency care team prepare for youth sports injuries. Will cover concussions, heat illness, and spinal injury management, as well as sports equipment removal.

Includes live on-field, hands-on simulation of a youth sports emergency on the Wake Forest University football field.

  • EMS agencies
  • Recreation and youth coaches and support personnel
  • Middle and high school coaches
  • Athletic trainers
  • Emergency department clinicians

WHY: Develop emergency action plan for sports injuries in youth athletes and how all member of the emergency care team should work together. Allow hands-on practice to better prepare for emergencies.

COST: Only $20, includes meal
