3rd Annual Save Injured Kids Golf Classic • Sept. 27-28

We raised over $166,000 in net proceeds that will help fund our programs! Thanks to our presenting sponsor Ahead, all our other event sponsors, teams, volunteers and special guests for supporting the event.

 

Childress Vineyards/RCR/ECR 5K • Sept. 16 at Childress Vineyards in Lexington, NC

Thanks to Childress Vineyards, ECR, RCR, PSI, our sponsors, volunteers and all of the participants for helping us raise over $16,000 to help Save Injured Kids!

 

Sports Medicine Education Course NYU • August 16, NYU Langone’s Kimmel Center

Thanks to the organizational and instructional support from  NYU Langone’s Concussion Center, we brought together coaches, athletic trainers, sports medicine first responders, EMS and emergency department staff in the New York City to discuss the continuum of athletic injuries.

 

Kids & Pros Youth Football Clinic NYC • August 11, Columbia University’s Wien Stadium

We held a free Kids & Pros youth football safety clinic in New York City. The athletic trainers and parent session were provided by NYU Langone Health’s Concussion Center and covered concussion recognition, as well as proper equipment fitting.

 

Dillon Brothers’ 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament • July 26 at Catawba College in Salisbury, N.C.

Thanks again to the Childress and Dillon family, our sponsors, players, special patient guests, volunteers and attendees for helping us raise over $126,000 to help fund our programs!

 

Kids & Pros Youth Football Clinic Atlanta • July 8 at Atlanta Motor Speedway

Thanks to a generous grant from Speedway Children’s Charities Atlanta we held a free heads up youth football clinic in the infield at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The onsite athletic trainers and parent session were provided by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, which covered concussion recognition and proper equipment fitting.

Helmet fitting, Q&A with Richard and Austin • July 1 at Daytona International Speedway

Thanks to a partnership with Florida Hospitals, we were able to properly fit and provide free bike helmets to children attending race. Richard Childress and Austin Dillon made an appearance to discuss the importance of helmet safety and the Childress Institute.

 

Pediatric Trauma Caucus Briefing • June 15 in Washington, DC

The 3rd Pediatric Trauma Caucus briefing discussed the importance of virtual care to help save injured kids. Special thanks to Richard Childress and our panelists for presenting the topic to Congress.

 

2017 Winemaker’s Dinner • April 25 at Childress Vineyards

The 2nd Annual Winemaker’s Dinner at Childress Vineyards raised almost $30,000! We are extremely grateful for all the sponsors and attendees for their support that will help us continue to save injured kids.

The 10th Annual T. Wayne Robertson Memorial Golf Tournament presented by SME raised over $60,000 to help Save Injured Kids.

Pediatric Fundamental Critical Care Support Course • October 21-22, 2015

The NASCAR Foundation fund an education course for nurses, paramedics and other pediatric trauma care providers. Children’s of Alabama generously hosted the course.
